Q. What is AT2?
AT2 is a complete online casting service for
artists, talent agents and casting professionals.
Most acting and modelling work in Australia is
broadcast directly to Agents via the internet.
If you are a Represented Artist, your Agent is
more than likely utilising the internet every
day to submit your details to Casting Professionals
in response to specific acting or modelling jobs.
AT2 also supports Non-Represented Artists by showcasing
their talents to all professional members utilising
the website. Agents, Producers, Photographers
and Casting Directors all have direct access to
freelance talent portfolios and are able to contact
these people directly regarding possible work.
AT2 is far more than just a database. AT2 is also
a digital pitching, marketing and courier service
for actor portfolios as well as the busiest on-line
breakdown service in the world where it counts
most - the number of roles cast electronically.
Q. Why should I consider joining an on-line
directory like AT2?
As well as the ability to be submitted for the
work that is broadcast through AT2, your portfolio
is searchable by all our member producers, directors,
photographers, advertising agencies, casting consultants
and production companies. Often a project will
be cast without sending out a job at all. Rather,
a search will be conducted and the artists will
be contacted via their agent. If you are not on
AT2, your portfolio cannot be searched by these
people.
Q. How do I make the most of my AT2 personal
webpage resume and portfolio on-line?
Your personal password-protected website showcases
your acting portfolio and allows you to post not
only your resume but also your show-reels and
audio clips. Your private messaging system connects
you to your agent, letting you electronically
receive audition scenes and scripts and up-to-date
industry links and news. You can also update your
resume or physical details on-line 24 hours a
day, seven days a week, meaning that your portfolio
will always be current.
Q. Why should I use the internet to promote
myself instead of using traditionally printed
headsheets?
Traditionally printed headsheets certainly have
their place in the casting industry, however once
printed the photographs and information are unchangeable.
An on-line portfolio is infinitely more flexible
- a credit can be added to a resume, physical
details can be changed and a photograph can be
updated, instantly. AT2 is constantly being promoted
to new members in Australia and around the world,
meaning your portfolio will always be available
to interested casting professionals.
Q. How do I become a member of AT2?
You can fill in the on-line sign-up form, pay
on-line by credit card, submit your resume and
photographs to updates@at2.com.au
and your portfolio will be on-line within 48 hours.
Q. How do I become a member of AT2 if I don't
have a credit card?
AT2 will accept money orders and cheques, made
payable to AT2.
Q. After I sign up on the site, how long until
my resumè and portfolio will appear on-line?
Your portfolio will appear on-line within 48
hours of receipt of your payment and personal
details.
Q. Who should consider going on-line with
AT2?
AT2 is used by all members of the casting community,
from advertising agencies to feature film producers.
Even well established actors have their portfolios
on AT2, in order that they can be submitted for
possible roles and their details can be viewed
by all our members.
Q. What sort of people are already on-line
with AT2?
AT2 hosts details for all kinds of performers
and entertainers, from babies and children to
top fashion models. Any artist that can be cast
is part of our on-line system, including dancers,
models, stunt performers, extras, circus entertainers,
singers and more.
Q. How old do I have to be to join AT2?
The AT2 hosts modelling work for babies of six
months or younger. We have no minimum or maximum
ages for joining AT2.
Q. Do I need previous experience to join AT2?
We host details for the most experienced and
well-known actors and models as well as for beginners.
Q. How often should I update my webpages?
You can update your portfolio as often or as
little as you or your agent wishes. You can update
at any time of the day or night, as long as you
have a connection to the internet.
Q. Do I have to have an agent to be eligible
to join AT2 and put my portfolio and resume on-line?
AT2 hosts details for both represented and freelance
actors. If you have an agent, your agent is responsible
for submitting you to the jobs that are sent through
our site and notifying you if you have been successful
in gaining an audition. If you are a freelance
actor, your details will be searchable by all
of our members, including agents. Both categories
of actors also receive audition calls from the
independent community - producers, student productions
or amateur theatre - to which they can submit
their portfolio.
Q. How will I find out if someone wants to
ask me to audition for a project or to book me
for a job?
If you are represented by an agent, your agent
is responsible for submitting you for the work
that comes through AT2. He or she will notify
you if you have been successful in auditioning
for a project or if you have received a job booking.
If you are a freelance artist, your personal contact
details will be displayed within your portfolio,
so you can be contacted directly by interested
AT2 members.
Q. Is AT2 an agent? Is AT2 a casting director?
No, AT2 is neither an agent nor a casting director.
We host the on-line database of talent members
and we provide the technology that drives the
site.
Q. What should I do if I don't have any professional
photographs yet?
You can send us a photo that you think would
be suitable and have a professional photograph
taken as soon as possible. Because you can have
up to four photographs in your basic actor package,
you can then add your professional photographs
as soon as you get them.
Q. My question wasn't answered here, where
can I ask it?
