This is the site to go to if you’re thinking of buying anything electronic. Helps if you’ve got a good idea of what you want, but if you give it some details (eg 28” Television), it will give you lots of different brands, and the prices for these at different High Street and internet retailers. You can make huge savings on High Street prices this way, anything up to 30-40%! And buying on-line is quite safe these days – always use your credit card for extra protection.

Computer Active
This is an excellent site, which is very useful for free downloads and other bits of computer news and information. They’ve won a Plain English Award, so it’s perfect even for those who don’t have a lot of experience with PC’s. My favourite is the Top 10 Downloads for a New PC (all of them free!). Click on the software tab at the top of the page for that one.
